Hi, I’m JCV.

My friends and family call me John, and these are my walks.
Walks I’ve taken—through winding alleys, sunlit piazzas, and lively neighborhoods. Unless otherwise noted, each route is one I’ve personally explored, mapped, and enjoyed. I created JCV Walks and Rambles (JCVWalks for short) to share those experiences with friends and fellow travelers who love discovering cities on foot.
Each self-guided walk includes clickable points of interest with short descriptions, so you can follow along at your own pace. I hope these paths help you see each city the way I did—curiously, casually, and with a sense of wonder.
How to use this site.
- Open JCVWalks.com on your mobile device when you have arrived in the featured city and are ready to start your walk.
- Click the map at the top of the page for an overview of the walk.
- Click the title or image for each point of interest to open its Google Maps location.
- Click the highlighted name in the text for more information on that point of interest.
- Follow the walk in order by scrolling down and clicking each title or photo to move from one point to the next.
- Or skip around and create your own route based on what interests you.
These walks are meant to be flexible and fun. Explore at your own pace, and feel free to wander off the path.
Not traveling right now?
You can still enjoy these walks from the comfort of your home. Whether you’re dreaming of your next adventure or simply love exploring cities, each guide offers a virtual journey through streets, squares, and hidden corners. It’s a great way to preview a trip, revisit a favorite place, or discover somewhere new—no passport required.
